Best thing you can do next is to buy yourself a Scan Gauge, that way you can monitor
whats happening under the bonnet and re set any error codes that may pop up.

I take it you replaced it with a fully tigged and tested unit?
Check/or replace your vacuum hoses maybe they are perished
and leaking,

IMO a pipe alone will see a little gain but combined with a chip you'll really feel the difference.
Another mod I highly recommend you look into is a Autron Cruise Control,
mine holds speed up...

I think you will find your boost levels are at the top end for the CRD's. If anything I would ever so slightly screw in the needle valve just to raise your cruise boost another psi or two. But thats...

It sure is. From what I've reasearched and what I can see, Patrols actually don't have an earth that goes between the two. The only wiring between the two is the wiring for the sub tank transfer...

AFAIK none of the OBD11 tools work on the Di's.
The Di's have the OBD11 plug but they aren't a fully OBD11 compliant system.
Scangauge certainly doesn't work.
I know that ECUtalk does but not...

Disconnect the switch wire to the gauge and then see if the blower still runs.

one is a mechanical thing being the dawes the other electrical so I cant see how both are related.
Dis connect the battery for 1/2 an hour and see how you go

Fitted a cav filter here, not sure if you can but it gives you an idea.
