Bonnet scoop..
I would have preferred not to do this but with a top mount air-to-air IC you don't have much choice.
This is the Ebay 'Navara style' fibreglass jobbie for $115. Not the real...

I like that spring compressor idea. I wasted my time using a cheap and nasty spring compressor that took about 2 hours when I never actually thought about doing what you have done.
solder a 1/4" line to the top of a cap and attach hose to pump/gauge.
Yeh, I reccon 4 mini kegs, the drill, and most of the gym equipment, and im sure you could make a car dyno ? (hahaha) :clapping:
Haha love the drill press/valve spring compressor! Flintstones gym is pretty good too where is the car/treadmill device :-P
Dunno mate,
the parts look good except for the top and bottom right ones. What's your model? Probably old age and red wine holding me back but I don't remember them from my GQ.
As both sides are...
Graham,
I'm pushing my memory uphill with a pointy stick here but I think the 'cup' you mention is only a grease seal and the bearings are held in place by the nut and locking system.
Am I mistaken...
G'day Graham,
one thing's for sure, both sides are the same so take them both off, keep all the parts in order and you'll see what has been done right or wrong.
The inner bearing needs to be...
Sounds like they worked loose. Did they have split pins?
No major work really. Deck, final machine of liners and set protusions. Balance. New valves, pre comps etc. Then see how it goes.
The aim is around 230hp at the treads with drivability important....
How long before you'll get it back??
