GOT a 97 blacktop turbo ... goes GR8, cant fault it - turbo glide turbo ... on a trip regularly averages 8.4 - 9.7 lts per 100ks

I haven't seen it myself, but I have always been told the gudgeon pins are smaller and lighter in the early blacktops, as well as the pistons to get the reciprocating mass down, to make them a bit...

Is there any difference at all to a N/A TD42 silver top, as apposed to a factory turbo TD42 silver top?? eg oil squirters etc

Not really mate. GQ's came with a silver rocker cover (silver top) I think theyre the preference. In reality any td42 will respond well and is fine for chucking a turbo on

What sort of driving will you be doing? Daily driver? Tourer? Weekend basher?
For daily driving my old TB42 on gas was cheaper to drive than my TD42 but a lot less power and far less driving...

The answers you're seeking are so varied.
Fuel usage can vary from over 30lt per 100 k's for a tb42 carby driven hard all the way down to low 11lt per 100 k's for an easily driven 2.8 diesel....

Turbo the petrol I've seen these produce big figures at the rear wheels ,
and 14.5sec, 1/4 mile times not out of the question
