Hey lads had the same problem. Every bump I hit the roof would rattle and this slowly developed into a squeeky sound. I had some time over the weekend so decided to do something about it. 4 hours...

Did you read the thread where a member drilled a hole in it and squirted CrC or similar in it and it worked.

The 4.2 doesn't really like doing too much over 3000 rpm, so I am surprised you are saying it is better over that.
With my old one ( 4.2 with Safari Turbo ), most of the urge was down...
