If your brushes are worn and only touching on the outside of comutator this will cause
over charging as well,and boil batteries.

Look up black diesel.. I ran it for a solid 6 months. Awesome idea to start with it but I personally think it needs to be run in a turbo. WMO (waste motor oil) has a lot more energy than diesel. But...
Use the hand pump and prime it until it is hard! this could take 5 to 150 pumps ;) Just keep doing it until its hard then take it for a drive. Hopefully you have not got an airlock in your line....

I removed mine ages ago so the memory is sketchy, however, I think the new links slot straight into the bracket that's there - I cut the cable on the unit sort of rendering it worthless...
The factory gauges are a bit vague. I'm running an aftermarket oil pressure gauge in mine now as my factory gauge would drop to 0 at hot idle. But it actually had decent oil pressure.

They are a pretty good gps unit I've got the my55 I have ozi explorer and all my hema raster maps loaded onto a micro sd card along with a program called miopocket which cracks...
1/3 on the factory gauge is spot on!!! most sit at 1/4 at idle and move to just above half when going through the revs.
Yep that's the right dipstick, exactly the same as my 91 td42 mav ute so tipping your engine has been over filled.
As for amount of oil, the service manual says approx 9.2 but last service i did...
