Bushes are commonly rubber or other similar material. they allow a bolt or shaft to twist or flex in a hole, but not to rattle. this is kinda good in suspension connections. eg your shock absorbers...

Supacheap/repco/autobarn have a bolt in replacement unit for $50. (for a GQ)
I have located a bloke in cairns selling them for $22 each. at this price, it is not worth the $20 for the rebuild kit.
