I’ve done some reading up on the issues with the ZD30di - yeh. I read about the 4th cyl piston melting! Wow.... but saw they added oil galleries on engines made after 2002 which addresses the issue?...

You maybe right about the diff oil level.
I don’t do a lot of 4wding and level is at full.
I’ll change the seal and check for any wear on the driveshaft.
Might then keep the diff...

Noticed some diff oil weeping from one of my swivel hubs...

Ended up being the headlight circuit I think, runs through this 12V, 30A relay in the engine bay relay box - blue and red wire. From there looks like the wires from the relay run to front lights.

Yeh ok, interesting these fuses seem to be shit ay. Might try the one you mentioned here

The old MQs are pretty old school! The thing I like about the GQs are that once you’ve sound deadened they are almost as nice as a modern fourby só I never feel like I’m driving around in an old rig...

You can pick up a Tb42 petrol cheap if you look for a few months - I paid $2.5k for the blue and silver and it has run without issue (I’ve kept it well maintained) - I just use it for beach drives...

That last photo is of inside the cowl, you can see the windscreen wiper mechanism and then the rust in the trough of the cowl

Thanks Guys. I got a few quotes ranging from 3000 to 6000 só at that cost I’d agree can just do the lot and end up with fresh paint! At least I will be going silver all over so any missed spots etc...
