If your not aware, the standard temp gauge is not a good indicator of actual temp movements.

i had the same issue - im 6'5
I had the whole seat moved back 3 inches
New seat mounts made and engineers mod certificate.
Was the difference between keeping the patrol and selling it for me....

Been through a similar experience and it had a positive ending so stay positive because people can and do come back from such challenges - be strong, your family needs to you be.
