Looks like a bit of fiddling is due :) Your specs are more what I'd be expecting...

I've got a Needle valve under the bonnet and I think a Dawes valve adjustment in the cabin....

OK I did it....

Now that the GQ has gone to a new home I've got myself a GU.....
It's already got a few mods, but no doubt I'll be finding more to add soon...

Yup... This is the go... :) I have the same model and I love the auto :) Looking at about $3k for an auto and converter reco if you pull it out and refit it yourself. Good time to replace the rear...

Went with the highlander as well. 2l turbo diesel leaves my GQ for dust...
No plans to take it off...

Pays to shop around..... $1100 for a power steering hose for the GQ from Nissan ex japan... WTF???

Got it repaired at the local Enzed for less than $100 ... Guy was a champ !

I've got one of their steering dampers on my Q. Been on for about 6 months no probs.
Only thing I'd check is the size, as it was substantially smaller than the OME one I took off.
Seems to be doing...
