From looking at mine I think it was straight through the taper is on the outside. The area where the MAF is located is thicker. I can check mine on Friday if you need exact.

Put in a volt meter to keep an eye on the aux battery and spent most of the day replacing the actuator and fine tuning the dawes and needle valves after the change.

Just did a 25km run 300c at 110km only got 6 psi dont think that should be a problem though. Was a pretty flat road.
Egt never went above 400 even up steep incline about 12 degree. So...
