i thought the same on my 08 3L ute. i never hear the turbo spool up, i just put it down to the sucking of the snorkel drowning it out as the sucking sound is quite loud.

thanks alot i found that manual just then. silly me was pressing wrong button. 31 is max volume Haha!. but i think it is only 40 as its pretty old. only goes to 40. unless im doing something wrong?
