so after I took car to Nissan for alt as per nrma as I have warranty with them they said it was exhaust leak under turbo flange not convinced I went searching again and a second opinion back of turb has crapped itself lovely back to Nissan again and boy they don't like being stuck with it

Yours should be a CRD same as mine. If it is then invest in a Scangauge or an Ultragauge they are THE ducks guts for the CRD... about 40 gauges in one and will read and clear any fault codes at the touch of a button.

I have had absolutely no issues since I blocked my EGR except for the two welll known ones.
Firstly you will get a check engine light maybe once a week or so with "P0401" code which is faulty EGR, simply clear it.
Second the extra flow will affect your turbo boost and the Scangauge or a Boost gauge will let you know if you need to adjust the turbo. I did but mine is chipped and 3 inch exhaust.

I bought a Dawes setup and then sold it as the CRD's do not need it. The ECU mapping must be different than the Di's or something but for some reason they will be fine with a minimal adjustment of the VNT if needed.

P.S. I have approx 40,000 K's on mine since EGR block and 120,000 total

ive told to pm you about egr block i have aug 07 i havent blocked egr yet but i have the plate ive been told its going to create errors and if i do will i need a dawes so far i have done egt + boost and catch can. thanks kev
