cheers guys, forgot to mention the gear not quite visible as I put in the 2" OME kit, 33's and a 145L long ranger tank as well.

It purred like a kitten through the Mt lennard track and some of the other hill climbs, got nicknamed the stealth patrol by the crew as they were used to their rumbling diesel tractors :)

Had to include the photo with the guard dog watching the troll lololol

Still got to get a rear worklight set up, more 12v plugs inside and some LED light strips for the awning as well

Yep, that looks pretty tough mate...how thirsty is thirsty. I was looking at getting a 4.8 but decided against it...LOL

oncedisturbed
29th March 2012, 11:02 AM
still trying to figure exactly as the original tank was approx 500 kms from 90L give or take, it has the 145L in there now but I have to fill up a jerry as a back up when I work how low the empty mark is just in case. it has the the normal delay before the fuel gauge starts to register fuel use which is around 230 kms, at the halfway marker it has done approx 530kms so I am hoping around the 700kms range before having to top up. May have to look at a sub tank to retro fit as the lat of the petrol subs for this model came out in 2006 which will give me close to 200L on board not including jerry cans.

Picked up a bush ranger wheelie bin (ripstop / pvc) for the spare yesterday. nice sturdy bag so I'm happy with that. got it when i took the Patrol back to ARB in Welshpool for the 500km suspension follow up to ensure ride heights and that they bedded properly. All I can say is the staff down there are excellent, big thunbs up to them. If any of the WA crew want the details of the staff I dealt with, pm me.

Going to start looking for some baintech plugs for the inside of the rig now.

Where do I grab a sticker from?

Is the next mod a turbo?? more power plus with mild boost could give you better economy. 4.8's are great they haul ass just thirsty as you say.

oncedisturbed
30th March 2012, 05:27 PM
not yet, got to put more 12v sockets in the rig for fridge, lights etc, window tint. later on a better exhaust and a turbo is a possibility once I find the elusive money tree

Picked some 800 lumen LED light strip last week prior to going away camping and installed it in the awning. Holy mother of the bundy bear, bright as and fantastic to cook and chin wag under. Gonna set some more up for different uses.

Also managed to use the barby ute, twin butane bbq, can't fault it except like all butane burners when its cold, the pipes "freeze" up restricting the flow of gas.

The strip is mounted with 3m double sided tape, just need to yank it off and put new stuff on if needs be.

Just installed some 12v sockets in the rear yesterday and rewired the spotlight switch to a narva rocker switch into a spare dash slot rather than being taped on with the crappy stuff the original switch came with.

When time permits i will be setting up some moveable LED camp lightstrips on some cheap bunnings tripods to be used arounds tents etc which will be a bonus.

Also picked up a 50L ironman fridge and mounted some brackets in the back for the straps to tie onto, basically rhe fridge will remain inthe back of the track.

Window tint is 1 of the next additions to the truck as well as a twin rear worklight mount and a lightbar.

They are the outback series from ARB but from memory I think they were around $1600 due to the side wing kits installed as well. The teoll us salary packaged through work so I didn't overly mind the price too much, if I bought it personally I more rhan likely wouldve gone with Ironman ones instead.

Was checking out some batteries online to reset the 2 I have in the Troll. Looking at getting 2 x supercharge allrounder batteries (both hybrids and maintenance free). 1 is the mrv70 (normal n70 size) 760cca with 105ah and the other is the smaller mrv50 650cca with 80ah, total of 185ah between them and the manual isolator will allow me to cycle between the 2 batteries which will also help to maintain them as well. Hardest trouble has been to find a suitable replacement for the baby battery due to it's size.

Turns I was guven the wrong lightbar feom a bulk order, just waiting for it to be swapped so I look at installing it.

Put the hi lift jack holder on the rear wheel carrier today, bit of a pain to fir but makes it easier to access the jack instead of on roof racks.

Haven't updated for awhile bbut as most know, had the motor go POOF and had a new 1 installed. Mods on the rig have been a bit slow lately.

I have managed to rewire the spotties and mount the LED lightbar but need to move the Wich control box back a smidge for the lightbar to fit properly.

Might look at taking off the Narva's and ordering a set of HID's or possibly look at the LED spotties.....they look the BOMB :)

Fleabay dont care as apparently it's not a breach of their policies. Have already IP logged their domain registration and located their shop front. Emailed them with all this plus the original photo side by side. They responded in 2 hours that it would be removed, that was back in March and nothing has changed and no responses back. I am trying to find any legislation covering unauthorised use of digital images but having no luck so far.

Dunno about Aussie law, but over here ,the person who takes the photograph holds all copyright and useage rites. Maybe be worth looking at similar over there?

Maybe in the old ages. This is the www we're talking about. Once something is on the net, you've crossed the point of no return. It's out there so very few laws apply.

Sorry to disagree mate, but if somebody uses YOUR photos, especially to promote thier business, then you send them an invoice for useage.

If they fail to pay ,or remove the photographs, then it goes to the small claim court of whichever country you live in.

Using other peoples photographs is copyright infringement and is theft, simple as that mate. That is international law,not country dependant.
