Hekarewe is staying in at Torq4x4 for an extended stay thanks to some piss poor frieght handling on Northlines transport behalf.

not only does it take Northline a WEEK to deliver from Melb to bris (are you kidding what sort of micky mouse out fit are they?????) but they managed to bend my new custom made rear bar before we even got to fit it!!!!!! (F^%$^*KING HOW??????) NORTHLINE you have been voted of the island you pack of tosses!!!

Good vent there mate,Would be really pissed that they bent the bar.

Yep most transport company's employee's don't give a toss about the freight they are moving about, I packed a pallet a few months ago of Glass Terrariums so pallet was at least 120x120x160, the dispatch manager came over to me 3 or 4 days later and said the pallet had disappeared *L* Was not Northline but we do use them on odd occasions.

I have been in the industry as both driver local and interstate and as an ops manager for the large transport company at total of over 25 years the way the industry has gone absolutely disgusts me now there are no more true truck drivers any more just steering wheel attendants and as for the frieght handlers thats just an art that is now a distant memory at the end of the day though it all falls at feet of the management in ntransport you have to micro manage everything and be every where to be above the cowboy amatures its a big job but it can be done they just have to care about more then just the bottom line. unfortunatly its not just transport going this way these days seems to be everywhere people just dont give a sh*%T like they use to,,,, where has work ethics and pride gone???

G'evening mate,

Well stated! There is no substitute for pride and professionalism in what you do and how you conduct your attitude! Now a days its the "u,jack system approach " "Fark you jack i am off!!!!!!!!!!!!"

PS, bring back the lash!

how badly bent is the bar?
got a pic

bad enough that it wont go on and needs to go to a fabricator to have it straitened with out weakening it i would suppose maybe cold pressing back into shape??? i dont know??? it looks like it has had preasure on the wing and when it pushed in it has creased the top fold no idont have any pics to look at it it does not look that bad but thats not the point the damage is there and the bar wont fit now.

so it is up to Milweld eng to sort it out and pick up the bill on the repair and then they can fight it out with northline i feel for Dave and Murrie at Torq4x4 as theey have become the innocent meat in the sandwich

NissanGQ4.2
16th December 2012, 12:28 PM
So who organised NT to transport the bar? I assume Milweld eng as they are footing the bill, so Dave and Murrie at Torq4x4 really have nothing to do with it.

yes Milweld eng organised Northline trans and they are footing the bill for a new bar. and your quite right Dave and murrie at torq4x4 are out of it as i said before unfortunately they are the innocent meat in the sandwich.

speaking of Torq4x4 i had a very excited Murrie on the phone to me as i was driving home to day (being sunday and al) Milweld had responded to their emails and have a bar on hand that they can send up this week. Sadly though this one has a jerry can carrier as well as a spare wheel carrier the one i ordered only had a spare wheel carrier,,,,,, guess i will just have to suck it up as milweld are throwing in the jerry carrier for free to make up for the inconvience that Northline has caused... BUGGER!!!! LOL

quick side note to this Northline transport has been chasing my wife trying to get her to send all of the frieght from the company she works for through them,,, Northline has been touting the line that they garantee a 2 day turn around and delivery from brisbane to melbourne and visa versa INCIDENT and DAMAGE FREE ROFLMAO she is going to ask them to clarifie their definition of2 day turn around & damage free etc ROFLMAO

not really as there is no structual strienght untill it is fitted, so if you drop it on one corner at the right angle bending it would be dead easy remember they are designed to be hit from behind when attached to the vehicle not being dropped by some mong in a frieght yard who couldnt give a sh*&t.

I was talking to my Dispatch manager this morning about the issue you had with Northline. He said look at this, shows me 2 different consignment notes for 2 different orders that had various amounts of cartons on them each, both orders the customer rang up saying they are missing a box, wanting 2 know where the box was ( was signed for short ), he traced the freight and both lot of missing boxes ended up at the freight company's depot in another state than what it should of been in!

Don't think any freight yard gives a sh!t

no i didnt even try it it was to wet and slimy to be doing that by self,,,, i did go up to the look out and the new gears made climb a lot easier but it was a bit hairy coming back down slip a few times coming down trying to find the happy gear that hold on engine and let the wheels turn quick enough so it didnt start to slide all in all the chip and the gears worked a treat

taking 4 fishing rods to cape york 2 surf rods and 2 short spinning rods, but how to carry them up there with out breaking them and with out having them in my way also need to be able to access them quickly if an oppertunity arises to have a quick fish. what to do? got an idea from one of torques 4x4 clients who had the small rods fitted to the front of the lad barrier in behind the back seats. so with idea in mind it was of to Charlton fishing at red bank and we hit the jack pot with a set of Berkly lock ring road holders which are now fitted to the front of my load barrier behind the back seat and yes i have included some pictures of how it all looks now it is fitted. tomorrow it is off to masters to buy some PVC and then clark rubber to build a set rod tubes for the roof rack will p[ost up photos after they are done
