water to air intercooler legalities?

just out of curiosity, is it legal to mount the radiator part of the setup outside the engine bay?

Most people mount in front of the radiatior like with a front mount as long as your not modifying any structural part of the car go for it it should all fit in behind the grill rather nice

mine is a ute, i was thinkinking of mounting it to the back of the cab, inbetween the tray, as it has a thermo fan on it too. rekon it might get too hot there??

There is a 75 ute on mudrhino forum that has its heat exchanger behind the cab and gets good results, it would be good place to keep it out of the mud too

You need a big fan if you want to mount it behind the cab the air flow isnt so good,

Yeah that will work but as ben-e-boy said do some research into fans and their efficiency and shrouding and the likes the more efficient your cooling system is for the w2a the better performance you can gain.
