Hi,
I have a 1996 GQ 2.8TD Patrol with Ironman 2inch lift, factory long range tank, modified factroy air filter housing to take 4.2ltr snorkel and a K&N 3inch pod filter mounted inside it (EASY MODIFICATION). I have recently fitted new 15x7 steel wheels with 31x10.5R15 tyres and a new draglink assembly with "replacable" ends on it (should have been done at factory). I work for a local Four Wheel drive parts & mechanical specialist in Maryborough QLD as their mechanic. Its so hard working at a place that sells all the extra's for the vehicle you own. My boss ends up with more of my wages than my wife does at the end of the week.
I love to go out with my sons and their friends to have FUN in mud, dirt, swamps, beaches or whatever is available. I enjoy camping with the family and friends most of all. I have owned a few Pajeros in the past but will never go back now that I have experienced the Patrol. Its awesome, and comfortable.
I have been a member since July 2011, but I have only just started to use this forum. Its full of so much information on these vehicles. I am currently sussing out the dreaded "NISSAN VIBRATION" which started in my Patrol about a week after I put new wheels and tyres on it. looks like I have to start replacing a heap of other stuff as well. The answer is in there somewhere. Thanks for having me.
