2.5 or 3 inch exhaust

Hi everyone. I have a question relating to which size exhaust is best for a GU 2.8td. Ive heard arguments either way.

Hi mate, Less restriction on a turbo the better so go 3inch.

To help with your confusion, why not go the 2.75? I think this might be a good balance

I replaced the 2.5" system on my TD42 with a 3" from Beaudesert exhaust.The benefit was immediately obvious with better throttle response and economy.

Haha thanks nisspat. That would be a good balance. With my experience on other turbo cars the 3inch would be better but thought it would be a good idea to ask those in the know with patrols.

I had a three inch on my old skyline it was an RB30 with a TD04 turbo. Is it still the standard turbo?
