Wondering if anybody knows if you can purchase a new complete Air intake hose (from front left panel to Air Filter) or if they are able to be replaced with aftermarket generic hose/pipe?

Mine has numerous holes and Duct tape does not seem to be holding it all together anymore.

Appreciate any feedback.

Mick.

Go to Bunnings and buy some 3" Agi hose Non-Slotted mate. Easy and cheap.

What engine?
You may find the first round part will slide inside 3 1/8" (83mm) diamter hose.

The Engine is a 4.2 petrol which is also fitted with LPG.

The ag pipe solution sounds quick and easy - but I have no idea what a Purple Pig Store is AB?? Maybe we don't have them in the Banana Republic?

That's the stuff, it's called flexible ducting. Comes in a variety of materials and for different uses. Any hose supplier you can find locally should stock something that will do the job. TPR (thermoplastic rubber) will do the job!

I just noticed you are in Brissy, You have a Hoseco store over there- if you go in and see them they should have some off the shelf for you. I deal with them a lot in my job over here.

was wondering how you get an airtight seal when you fit the round flexi hose to the square air filter intake?

Got any pics you can post Mick?
Have a look in my members ride thread (tasLucas's tb42 ti) it has a bit of a custom flexi pipe set up done by the previous owner. (some of it is dodgy lol)

tappn it

Yep, I just ended up welding a 100mm round pipe to the square outlet and used bits of steel to block the holes off and welded them on...

Check out this link below...

Another way would be to utilize the existing square to round adapter that you already have and somehow connect the two round pipes up. Maybe using some sort of harder joiner and use 2 x pipe clamps???

Maybe a same size OD pvc pipe only 100mm long and force the two pipes over the PVC and hose clamp....Not sure PVC would be the go with engine heat but something similar to that which can handle heat.

Hi guys did anyone come up with a conclusion for this missing pipe? I'm missing the same one and will attach pic for reference. I've looked online and can find some on ebay but nowhere else.

Thanks Davo, ive tried that website but its not working atm? I have had to reorder the pipe as the one ive pic abouve was for the desiel version and not the petrol motor. The petrol version is about half the size and dosent have a bend in the pipe.
