Is there anything that can be sprayed down the intake of a diesel engine that will clean out the mucky gunk that accumulates in there and say burn it off while the engine is running?
I know you can do it with petrol motors but not sure about diesels.

Hi GreenGQ, if you spray anything flammable in there it will rev its tits off the only way I know is taking the manifold off.

Yeah your best bit is just to remove the manifold and give her an old fashioned clean

Mate if you spray something to remove all this old build up.
Loosened all the gunk in EGR valve for example as wynns suggest.
Where does it end up If you don't physically don't remove it from intake system yourself.
Through your engine.
Carbon deposits are the last thing you need floating around, if ya can help it.

Yep, fair enough, obviously diesels are very different to petrols when it comes to intake cleaning lol
