Just joined. So hi to all. Decided to become a Patrolite since my last 2 cruisers went to someone who wanted them more than me. Gotta recover from that then when the wallet is ready, I'll be huntin' for a Nissan.

Got to get to know them b4 I get one so I may annoy a few of you whilst I'm on the waiting list. I know how to use search on forums so it may only be the obscure Q.

Seems a friendly and informative place.

Welcome aboard mate !

lurking is OK, but dont be afraid to ask Nissan questions even at first they may seem silly, it can be hard when you change brands and have to learn all over again, rest assured no one here will bite ya head off for asking "anything".

Soon as ya comfy, feel free to jump right in

Thanks for the warm welcome. My sights are set on a GU 4.2. When I can get it I will then enter into negotiations with the Minister of Finance to see how far I can take it.

G'day lortapug, and welcome!

If I've understood your post correctly, a pox on the mongrels who stole your 'Cruisers.

Yep. 14 years ago they got my 60 series Cruiser. It was fully modded and only had 21,000km on the clock. It was still under finance so I didn't get much back my self from insurance. Then recently my HJ47 went walkies. It was found smashed & stripped. It was a perfect example of the beast. Ins Co. didn't want to know about it. Seems they found a key in the ignition. When I checked it out, I remembered I had a spare key wired up underneath and the so & so who took it obviously found it. Makes me think it was someone who knew me but I couldn't prove anything. From where it was found it looked like they were bush bashing then had a head on prang with a tree. So they took off it what they could.

So lesson learned. No more keys wired up underneath. Decided to switch to Patrol as 3rd time unlucky with a Cruiser is on my mind.

:thumbup:Wow! This place sure is full of welcomes and friendly people. I am and have been a member of various forums, both 4wd related and other interests at various times, but this site is by far the most friendly. Pats on the back to everyone. I haven't had time to start going through the threads and see what you guys & gals are up to, but if the other threads are in the same spirit of humanity as this Introductions thread then I guess I better make two coffees at once when I sit down to read.
