hi all im stuck on what tool to use to un bolt the diff oil and transfer case oil ? its a circle with a square shape inside any help would be great ty

I am pretty sure the half inch drive ratchet was what i used on mine

I would also undo the filler plug first.

It would be a PITA if you found you were unable to undo these after draining the oil.

yes the head of the 1/2 inch, but I would use a breaker bar not a rachet

x2 on making sure you can refil before draining

Most people including me use a 1/2" drive, and my preference is to use a long breaker bar. It seems that a sharp pull, rather than a slow heave, is best to get these plugs turning.

Kyoto bearing co make a purpose designed tool, according to their site, but I have yet to find it in Australia.

Take care when doing the plug up, not to overtighten it. I have yet to find the perfect way to ensure the correct tension, absence of leaks, and ease of undoing when the next change comes around. Currently I use a sealant on the thread, and do them up firmly, but not over tight, and then check regularly for leaks for a while. that has worked so far, this time, but I have had trouble because of overtightening in the past.
