Guys just got my needle valve, do you use thread tape on the fittings or not ?

thread paste will seal up better but thread tape will work ok

It depends if they are tapered fittings or not, but like roofy, I just use a drop of Locktite thread sealer which does the job well.
If they are tapered, just nip them up and they should seal ok.

Tread tape, goes on the bottom of your thongs to stop you slipping over:tease:

Teflon thread tapes are PITA to use on small automotive fittings, just use Loctite thread sealant (http://au.iloctite.com/en/loctite-thread-sealant) for your application as Chaz suggested. I use the stuff for everything from gas, fuel, air, oil fittings to hoses with tapered threads fittings.

someone once told me Teflon tape was a no go when gases are concerned.
It reacts or something.
