Hi guys I've removed the intake manifold from the motor to change the bypass hose fittings and was wondering while the manifold was off is there anything else worth changing?

Thanks

do you run gas?.
drill a dedicated port for cyl lube dripper system.

replace gasket/silicon on oil cooler cover.
replace/install new oil filter bypass valve.
carby kit.
new air filter.
new vac hoses.

Port match
install remote oil filter adaptor system.

Here's a job
completely replace with EFI system.
gain 4 kw and similar torque.
lol

all that comes to mind at the moment.

Thanks Robo,

I took the manifold off and found a water leak comng from between the oil cooler cover and the block so i removed the plate cleaned the sealing surfaces on the block and plate put grey maxx gasket goo put it back on and its still leaking!!

I couldnt see a gasket on it when I removed it i assume nissan put sealant on it from the factory but does any one know if there is a proper gasket for it?

All bolts are tight and the plate does not seemed warped, pitted or corroded.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Petrol = silicon.
And diesel =pre made gasket.

Petrol 15-20 ft/lb.
Diesel 22-30 ft/lb.
Remove all traces of old silicon/gasket.
Make sure surfaces are properly cleaned first.
Brake cleaner spray works well.
On a clean lint free cloth.

Tighten from middle first, working outwards.
Manual doesn't describe how to apply silicon.
Maybe similar to sump 3.5-4.5 mm bead.
Going around inside of bolt holes to ensure seal.
Installed within 5 min of application.
Haven't use grey maxx ,can't comment.
I'd recommend Permatex silicon.

If It was me using a paper gasket on a diesel,
I'd also apply , Hoylamer spray gasket sealer, to gasket.
Recon it helps to water proof, seal gasket for longevity.
Hope this helps.
cheers
