Wanted TD 42t Manifold

Hi all.

I have been a forum member for a long time but have not posted much. Lots of good info.

I have a GQ with lots of the good stuff but naturally aspirated 4.2.

I’d like to start buying bits to turbo it. I have found a factory turbo and now need a manifold to suit. I don’t really want to spend $400 for a manifold, anyone know of any second hand ones on the market? I have sent out a few mails to wreckers with little luck.

I got mine from a wrecker mate for well under a hundred - $50 or something ...

your better off ringing a wrecker or going to them they will never reply via email but its the best place to go should be able to get one relatively cheap.

Try findapart.com.au it has been good to me.
Usually ebay is ok but for td42 turbo stuff the old second hand kits are getting ridiculous money.

Got one for $180 from a wrecker in Adelaide.

Another question....

My GQ is a early 94with 278kms on the clock. I've had it since 130kms and been well looked after.

Will it withstand a mild turbo set up?

Yeah mate she will hold. Just as a precaution have a compression check done on it if she in spec you wont have an issue.
