Hi all,

thought i'd do the right thing and post pictures of my patrol since this is a Patrol Members forum and since I thought it was the right thing to do and to hear your views on my ride. I fell in love with the Patrols back in high school when a mate of mine had a short wheel GQ, which was just awesome, to say the least. I am over the moon now I have my very own. Definitely a Patrol Man for life.

Anyway to cut the long story short, this is my GU 2007 Y61 Nissan Patrol Wagon. It has the following;

OME 2'' Lift Spring with HD shocks, dampers
IPF Rectangular Spots
Safari Turbo
3'' Turbo Safari Exhaust
ECB Bullbar, sidesteps

I have only had it for 3 months and am keen to source flares, Inter cooler and the list goes on and on, and on........ I am sure after going through the threads and advise on site, it will become a serious road troll and off road beast.

Cheers all and Have a Great weekend. i'll be sinking a beer, fishing, of the back of my patrol this weekend. So gotta run and spend some quality time with the Patrol, oopss sorry the Family..

PNG Patroling and reporting to you all................. out

looks great!

Hey a GUIV without Flares of any description is rare in this part of the world too?? Even the DX here gets the Black flares. I also note that you list the Safari Turbo..... Does that mean you have a 2007 with a TD42 from the factory?? Hell Yeah!! I assume that was imported direct from Japan to PNG??

When i was there 16 years ago there was basically Zero Modifications to be made up there to the 4bs and everyone ran Split rims and no lift. Most drove around in Ex Gov fleet cars and No-one had a Winch or Lift. Is that still the case. Also you could buy 2 types of Tyres only? All that same size, a Classic WWII Jeep style tread or a early muddie type. They lasted 5,000 to 10,000kms only at best (well on mine anyways) (Tended to give it a flogging)

Have a great time with it mate.

MudRunner yes allot has changed here. You hit the nail on the head. Td42 2007. Now have an ARB agent in Port Moresby. Things however are not progressing fast enough. I have a few mates who would love to have have more mods if they were available. I'm hoping to get help for me and my friends here on the forum. Tyres are readily available but after 285/75/16 there is nothing available. I agree my tyres dont last very long as well.

I am loving every moment of it...

Have a top day.

Cheers

That part hasn't changed, pity. A very good friend of mine goes by the name of Glock goes where i go with my patrol. :) No alarm system BillsGU, but a GPS tracking system monitors its every move.

There are a lot more roads up there since I was there in the late 70s. Even back then - it was a great place to 4 wheel drive. Have a good one!
