Been snooping around here for a while and decided it was time to join up.
I am a member on Patrol4x4 but like a lot of others I am a bit worried about there virus prob's at the moment so I have decided to come over and get my fix here with you guy's.;)

Yep Silver, the 6.5x55 is a great calibre, I had a sporterised m96 years ago and it was the most accurate rifle I have owned.
Howdy Nowoolies. My 45/70 is a Marlin 1895ss with a 1.5-5 Simmons scope, I have also got a Weatherby Vanguard in .223 rem topped with a 4-12 Bushnell and a nickle plated coach gun for chasing pigs in lygnum.

Mate from Vic is working himself up to buying a 45/70 for chasing Sambar. They must be one tough beast because the other Mexicans in that circle have a range of heavy hardware up to .458 Win Mag, seem to think the 45/70 is a bit borderline and look down their noses at .308s
