Hi everyone,

My wife and I have just recently purchased our first 4wd. We have two kids with a third on the way so decided its time for a bigger rig. We've always been car enthusiasts, mostly japanese imports gtir's, skylines and our previous family car a nissan stagea (notice a pattern?).

Part of our decision to buy a 4wd is so that our kids can grow up understanding and appreciating our amazing bushland and country.
Although I grasp 4wd driving concepts I have little experience. Having said that I have seen a lot of what not to do in a 4wd while I'v been out trail riding or rallying.

Thanks guys. And I look forward to sapping your brains of information.

Regards

Stu

Megatexture: Atm it has a full length arb roof rack, factory nissan steel bull bar (winch compatible) Spotties, uhf, A/T tyres (standard 17" rims), Dual batteries and Tanks.
The first addition I'll be making will be a winch, followed by a chip, exhaust and a 2" lift. I intend to set it up mostly as a tourer (well my wife thinks I will be anyway) I have a few little secret plans of my own after I have put enough cash aside. Wont be anything too intense though, and and won't be for a while.
I have a compulsive need to customise everything I own. I'v promised the misses I will try and control myself. Mostly because it's going to be her daily drive.
Oh, and your spot on about the power thing! the flat spot between 1000 and 2000rpm kills me. I have a feeling i'm gonna go through a few clutches in this thing.

Tweakedoffroad: I'm in Werribee, Vic. You?

Tried to attach some pics, but for some reason it won't let me. I'v made them the right size and format, but no good.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
