Gen manual recons you can r&r front timing cover without removing head.
As head gasket overlaps timing cover, don't doubt it can be done but.
Anyone done this job?.
Any suggestions in insuring no pitfalls encountered doing this job.
Tips?.
Leaking from top left corner, cover to block. not pump.

Does anyone have a comment?.
The job should be done now, oil change is due anyway.
Sump has to come off also to do this job.
All I'm really worried about is damaging the head gasket.
All/any input is appreciated.
Cheers

Timing cover came off "gently" without any problem.
Didn't stick to head gasket at all.
Sump was harder to get off.
Point where t/cover connects with head is only oil drain path for v/train anyway.
Just use a little aviation goo on top of cover to help re-seal head gasket.
Readjusted oil pump tensioner.
New front t/cover oil seal.
Cleaned everything and reinstalled.
