Hey guys

Heading up to the mildura renmark mail route track today, (given all the sweet rain and my new centipedes!) I've checked my coolant ten mins into driving and it started frothing out the top when i took the cap off. I washed out the froth and it keeps bubbling up. So far no oil mixed in and no water in the oil. Any help appreciated thanks!

Coffee colour is usually just rust from the cast block.
The rd28 should be renamed the crackhead.
Number 5 on the head usually gets a hairline crack.

haha well i actually have another head sitting in the garage with a hairline crack on no.5 i can start a collection!

i blocked the egr - i heard it was the recirculation that heats up that cylinder n is why they crack. maybe i was wrong :s

maybe i should sell the whole thing buy a datsun 120b to drive around while i save for a year n buy a low k 2005 gu and do the chev v8 conversion...

i did have the rd28 running really well. was chipped, 3" exhaust and timing cranked up, went quite fast! temperature guage never really budged... i dunno.

faaarrrrrk $$$

Could be grease or oil i have seen something similar where they used grease when putting on the hoses before.
Have it tested by a specialist anything else is really just a guess.
Natrad are usually pretty good.

Whatever it is either grease or oil ,both are necessary for our machine.
