Introduction

[TPD86]

Hi all

just got me self a 4.2 diesel ford maverick(hope no-one minds the ford badge)... plan is to go around aus eventually.... I'm new to the 4wd scene... haven't had much experience with or in 4wd's, so it going to be a steep learning curve... I'm good at turning a spanner or two... played around with a lot of cars, just new to the diesel stuff...

plans 4 my gq is :
-Turbo
-2 inch lift
-Storage compartment in the back (not sure on size and shape etc...)
-Winch
-dual battery

maybe a few other things just to make it a nice capable 4wd... I have a dirt bike for when I wanna go play in the mud....

If any one has or knows of, any threads that they think would be helpful to a newbie please post links...

I've already found a lot of good info on this forum and others like this one... part the reason i got a gq...

guess we gotta give ford some credit for recognise a good vehicle, and rescue it from rubbish dump.... which raise the question "why was there a patrol on the rubbish dump in the first place?"
