GDay all. Been looking at a new patrol which come with rear air conditioning. I am wondering if the vent in the back for the a/c causes issues with installing a set of rear draws. I am looking at the outback draws, standard side by side.

Anyone with a setup similar? Pics would be great.

Thanks

Damo

I'd reckon you'd have to leave that side wing off on the AC side (look a bit grim I guess). Hopefully someone's done it though mate, and can send through some happy snaps. I know my Ironman drawers wouldn't go into my brothers (he has the rear ac and cooler box) with the side wing on.

There is a fan just above that inlet for the rear air con. I would not block that entrance or you might burn the fan motor out. As long you have a good gap it should be ok.
Just had a look at the pics and it looks like you can remove the rear side lid which would allow for the air con to breathe...

Thanks guys. I'll look further into it. Suppose I could leave the wing off.

You dont have to leave the wing off, there is plenty of air getting in there from behind the draws. just dont pack items around the intake.

cheers

I've packed stuff up close to the fan grille and not had any problems with the operation of the fan vents.

I installed a set of drawers in one all the customer wanted was to extend the two points with flexy tube and put them up on his cargo barrier out of the way all u need to do is make sure the vents are not blocked but if you put a drawer system in you won't be using the rear air con
