Just found the forum so thought i should join up.
Have a GU ute comp truck ... but its parked under the mango tree at the moment ... needs a new motor and a fair bit of work but i guess after 10 years of abuse you'd need a bit of TLC too :wink:
Got a GQ petrol wagon with just a 2" lift ... needed something legal to get to the comps in.
Also got a stock MK TD ute that i bought to do a Cape York Misers Challenge [basically we had to buy a 4x4, get it rego'd and drive it from Cairns to Cape York and back for less that $3000.00] but its a great old thing and went so well i also did the most easterly, most southerly and highest points in Aus and have planned to try and make it to the most westerly point in May ... wish me luck :biggrin:

raced in the ASCC from 2000 ish to 2004
Founding member of Tough Tracks and won the 2005 series of the Tough Tracks 4x4 Challenge then raced it for a few more years
raced the All Terrain challenge for a few years
did some rock crawling in the QRock series
did a few Logan Challenges
did the Battle of the codes
did Carnage Canyon for a few years
did quite a few other comps as well
in between racing i also toured the comp GU to cape york, simpson hay river etc etc etc
and yeh ... don't mind red :devilred:

The Mk completed the East West East trip with no probs, couple of small welds on the tray, a puncture, broke a headlight and a mirror.
pulled a sway bar bush through the sway bar.
I think that was about it :049:
