Came across this over at the 4x4earth forum and went, sweet, would be handy to keep in the troll as a just in case tent. Have gone through their website and no can locate so was wondering whether anyone else has a similar set up or know where to locate one.

I've got a similar awning, but would be reluctant to put a tent like that under it because I often have to adjust the height of the awning ie full up for walking easily while making dinner, etc, drop one edge in case of rain, or both poles for wind. If a tent was attached your walls would be crumpled most of the time making the windows and doors a nuisance to use.
A mate has a 30sec tent with awning extending to the car which works well, but expensive and bulky to carry. Guess they've all got pros and cons.

Reverse in, drive out

This isn’t the best pic I’ve ever taken but I’ll explain it……..
The front section is purely PVC because that is our shower area. All 4 walls are PVC because soap and canvas aren’t good friends, apparently. The back bit has a large window and the screen enables me to see out and not for people to look in – during the day time. Night time is the opposite and I have to remember to at least put my budgies on. Lol.

I have used corner guy ropes for every tent pole due to the strong winds in WA. It’s a bit of a long tedious process, but definitely pays in the long run. If I’m doing an overnighter, I just throw the swag into the back of the pod of my truck and swag it.
Looking from the back to the front…..

The annex on the back is 5m long that covers 2m of truck and 3m of annex on the left hand side.
I’ve had to put a tent pole in the middle of the annex due to the pure size of it. When it rains, it’s a swimming pool. By adjusting the tent poles, I collect rain water, too!
To get into the truck, I just unzip the right hand side, lift up the left pod door and I’m in.

Pod door closed and annex closed.

Where I had mine made up

There are going to be different concepts/variations.
I went for heavy duty PVC and canvas, top of the range press studs, heavy duty zips, double guy ropes and heaps of tent poles.
I’m confident that my set up will withstand the strong south coast winds of WA with everything being heavy duty.
One valuable lesson I’ve learnt is to dig your rain off trenches, before it rains! Doh and Der!!!!
Hope this helps give you ideas.
Take care out there.
