Do I still need to own it Steve or can it be something I have owned,

I use 2 own a 75 or was it 78 Holden HZ premier station wagon, I like the old cars, hence why I ask 2 see other members cars when they mention words like Torana :)

Thanks for starting the thread mate :)

No problem, as long as you still have a sweet spot for the old cars Todd, you do get more credits if you still own em tho, plus that way we can see PICs

Ha-ha, dont jinx me Todd,

My hatch was a LX , the XU1s were a totally different car all together (LC-LJ shape Toranas), dunno what it would fetch these days, you cant see half of the work in the pics, "all" the underneath was just as detailed as the rest of the car, custom diff bracing, coilover shocks, chrome etc, it even had full competition stereo, 10'' sub boxes moulded into where the rear doors would be, 8'' tube behind the dash, and another half dozen speakers, it won heaps of Trophys for both car shows and audio comps,(all now in boxes in my attic)

As with all the cars ive ever owned, i drive em everywhere and often, after years of spending about 6hrs just to wash it properly ,and things like having to paint the back of brake pads ,and polish the calipers when you do a service etc, it was a lot of work, i had no house or kids then so had time and money to waste on it, so while id still like to have it, i don't really miss it at all

58,000 miles, original unrestored condition. Never had a radio, heater, windscreen washers etc.
Drives beautiful!
I'm thinking I should dig out some old photo's of some others...
I've had another HR, LX Hatch, HZ Caprice, VQ Caprice, VN Calais (with factory V8 manual), VU SS, VE SS Sportwagon Manual.... Just some of the favourites!

Definitely not in the same class as the rest here but I had a VH sedan with a sh*t hot 202, hot cam, blueprint 173 hp head ported and polished, straight cut timing gears, elec dizzy, etc etc... over jetted weber, stage 3 suspension, Celica steelcase 5 speed. Wasn't the neatest, and definitely not rare, but was great fun to drive. Would still be putting out power at 7000 rpm!

Yes mate.

1915cc

It's a 1956 body on a 1970 floor pan (for the bigger brakes, full IRS rear)

I have done an EFI conversion on the motor, but needs tuning work that I don't have time for at the moment.

No mate, lost a bit of interest in the VW scene once I stopped working on the dub, due to time constraints.

There has been some serious work done to some street cars over the last 5 years or so.

I'm seriously thinking of putting a 2.5 L Subaru motor in it, to make it a reliable, hassle-free, daily driver.

It was a originally a genuine GT but the body was too far gone with rust so everything was transfered to a donar body with phase 3 bits ( alloy shaker , alloy rear wing , speedo/tacho etc )

1963 EH Special 179 - 90k miles all original - Grandfather owned since new
1974 HQ Premier 253 factory 4 speed, special order - Father owned since new
Those were my first two cars
Then a multitude of nothing all that exciting, probably the best of being a XB Fairmont
Couple of 4wd's - weren't Patrols so wont mention what they were hehe
Then my VS SS which had a fair amount of work done on the engine
Then back into the real steel
1967 Chev Impala 4 door pillarless - bought to build as a cruiser but kinda ended up with a few more ponies than first anticipated
the rest are projects for the one powerball
Will post photos when i get around to working out how (still haven't put up ones of the Patrol!!!)
