cracks in fan hub/ warm air through vents dx 4.2 d non turbo

hi wise ones.. , any recomendations for replacement fan ., as just discovered mine has developed cracks where the blades meet the hub, also warm air always flow through the dash vents , as if heater is on , air con still works .... what may cause this...??? thanks Bazz

As far as the warm air thing goes, check the cable from the cab. I am not sure about patrols but there should be a valve(could be under the bonnet or near the heater box) that allows warm water(from your cooling system) to pass thru the heater box. The valve might be seized and cable stretched so when you think it's on cool it's not.

Someone else on the forum might have a better explanation or better ideas. But this is my thought on your issue

Your right they have a shut off valve wich stops the hot water going through the heater core inside the car.
as for your fan check ebay they have numerous fans listed.
