My BFG Tyres (32 x 11 x 15) are too wide for my vehicle to be road legal here in NZ. (My safari doesn't have factory flares and I'd have to go through a compliance process to fit them, blah, blah $$$$)
I have a set of 16" mag wheels on an old (dead) Isuzu trooper with tyres that are road legal. How can I tell if the mags are up to the job of holding up my Nissan. When I've been at tyre stores looking at rims, they've asked whether the truck is solid beam axles. What is the relevance of this when determining if the mags are suited to the nissan?

if it is a 6 stud rim it should go on, there may be a slight difference to the centre hole that you can deal with depending on the age of the car.

If it is an IFS troopy Toyota deemed it necessary to swap from a 6 stud that was used by all to a 5 stud and wont fit anything
