Hmmm, would this be correct on the ZD30 CRD.
The service scheduled does not have an oil or filter change till 10k normal driving. Asked the Nissan service dept and yes that is correct....
I'm thinking of dropping it and filter and wack some new clean stuff in there. What you reckon? Yes/No?

My view only ..... any new motor I have had either new or totally reco`d I drop the oil after 1000k, good insurance and hopefully flush any bedding in metal out even tho it would be neglible - hopefully

1000/1500km service has been a tyre kick service on most cars for years now.
You could change the oil and filter if you want but unless you plan to get 500,000km out of your engine it probably won't make any difference.

500000! I was thinking more like a million out of it :)
I'm probably more old school I suppose and thinking it needs to be done at 1000km. There's mixed opinions on this so I thought I would ask the gurus.
Cheers mate

Hi Niss Pat. Change it. Good insurance, oils don`t wear out they just get dirty so always change the filter and always use top quality filters and oils.

Im doing it on mine. As well, if you read the definition of the severe service schedule, its basically all types of driving that isnt freeway on sealed bitumen ;)
