I have plans to Fit 33 x 12.5 15 on my Series 1 GU but i currently have 16' ROH wheels and yesterday saw some great discounted prices on 285/75/16 Bridgestone duelers at local store. i was wondering whats the size difference between 285/75/16 and 33 x 12.5 15. how to convert this??

Hi,
there a similar size. I think 32.9x11.5. Google tyre size converter and that will give you an exact. I run 285x75x16 and so do many other GU's, I think you'll be happy

Cheers

305/70 R16 is very similar diameter and width as 33x12.5 R15, 285/75R16 is about the same diameter but narrower.

Just be aware of the difference in the wheel diameters 15" v 16". Be sure to test mount the 15" rims to be sure those rims clear the brake callipers.

Also, be aware of 'offset', which, if significantly different, could result in the tyres rubbing on the body or on the lip in the guards.

it comes to 285/75/16 = 32.8x11.2/16, its bit narrower. height would be same as i guess

Height is within a few mill, but load and speed rateing could be different.

If you already have 16" wheels I would keep them and mount some 285/75R16's on them. It will be cheaper when you factor in having to buy new rims as well. It also might help with the wider tyres sticking out of the guards and being possible cop bait. I went from 33/12.5R15's to 285/75R16's and havent noticed any real difference in performance, apart from the 285's being a brand new purchase. They fit better in the guards I reckon. Just my 2c worth.

uummm...sounds the right way. the height on 33 x12.5 and 285/75 will be same almost just the 33's will be bit wider. the ROH 16' wheels i have already sticks out abit.

This is the difference of these two tyres. 285/75 16 looks abit higher and 33x12.5 15 (on left side) looks abit wider. i think il stay with 285/75/16
