Soory i posted this in the wrong place so thought i would try here.
looking at servicing my 1998 patrol 2.8ltr td and was wondering if there is anything i should watch out for or anything specific i should check for wear and tear.

I got told by a mechanic mate to remove the whole fuel filter assembly (2 bolts) and remove the filter when the assembly is clamped to a bench, this gives you good access to the oil filter, this i did for the 1st few times but it was a pain in the ass to get it secured to a bench and remove the filter. I just did a service yesterday and removed the filter 1st while the housing was secure in place, changed the filter then unbolted the housing and moved it aside, then had access to the oil filter.
