Hi all,
I can't find any other posts about this so here goes.

If you have visited Bunnings tool section any time in the last number of years you would have noticed that Ryobi have a battery drill system that uses the same 18v battery in a number of different tools.
The range of tools continues to increase and I recently purchased an impact driver that should be ideal for wheel nuts and other mechanical issues. There is a number of different lights that are idea for camping, a radio, fan and even a hand vacuum cleaner. The battery charger only pulls about 80 watts so with a fairly small inverter it could be kept in your vehicle to keep the batteries charged.

I am not associated with Ryobi in any way but have found their recent 18v drills to be very good. I have previously spent $600 on a Dewalt 3 speed battery drill which is awsome but very heavy. The nicad batteries lasted 2 years before dieing and at the time the replacement cost was about $200 per battery. I chose to spend $260 on a ryobi with a steel chuck, 2 x lithium batteries and charger and find that it does just as good a job as the dewalt for everything I use it for.

Too easy boss - I thought they did something like that for tradies to charge gear on jobs with no power, but that said, it could have been a dream too!! lol

Either way, a good thing to have on board!
