Hi,
I'm a newbe. Just graduated from terrano to safari. My boat was too big for the terrano.

Just picked up a safari in OK condition but needs a bit of electrical.
Can anybody advise me on the following points.
1/ How do you download the manuals from this site?
2/ I downloaded a manual from another site and it is for a 12 volt electrical system ! I didn't know that was an option. I've never come across a 12V machine. There was no mention of a 24V system !
3/ There is a takeoff between the batteries. Is this for a 12V radio? Is there any other stuff on that line?

Thanks
Dave

Top of da mornin to ya....what did you do to your 4x4 today? Check out the diy thread and tell us! It will add to the posts you need at least in your effort to get 25 posts before you can download the manuals...

G'day Dave, seems like you sorted out the logging in issues.

You just need to rack up 25 posts and you can download the manuals, just welcome some other new members and you'll rack up the 19 more you need in no time.

Well, thank you all kindly.
Getting on with the posts. I have enough to be gettinig on with without filling pages of twaddle. The 25 posts will come soon enough.
Wife says that the truck has the worst turning circle ever built. ("must have been designed by a man"). Don't fret, I'll sort her out later! :)

so are all safaris 24v?

Even in the 24v vehicles I thought there was a 12v point to connect to. (possibly in the engine bay)

My 91 gq has a host of electrical quirks, bit too much time in mud and puddles, doesn't take too much to get them sorted, half the time it's dirty contacts in the plugs, nothing a bit of wd-40 and a toothbrush doesn't usually sort out.
