Just figured I'd share, been a while :)
New Snorkel fitted. Bought on ebay from a company called "Scintex". Web site is http://www.scintex.com.au.
Cost was about $150 Delivered (that was off ebay, website list price is $219). Looks like a cheaper version of the same model Safari kit (in fact, fitted using dimensions etc off the Safari website as no fitting instructions were provided, just template). Fitted well, template was accurate. Only issue i had fitting was that i had to pull the front quarter panel off to fasten up the snorkel, as theres no other way to access behind the quarter panel while its on the truck, unless you feel like making more holes...
Unit seems sturdy, comes with a 12 month warranty. Guess only time will tell, but at 1/3 the cost of a Safari, i'll take the chance.
Couple of pics following (excuse the terrible paint on the truck, thats one of the projects for further down the track)
