Argh? i read somehwere that i should be cleaning the MAF sensor on my GU 2.8TD.
i also read somewhere that you simply remove the 4 screws give it a lite turn and pull it out.....
I must have been drunk when i read that part...im sure i was cause if you do that on a 2.8 MAF it breaks..
i tried to put it back together but you cant get to the terminals to solder them once you put the cap back on..
So in my attempt to repair this i soldered some 10cm of wire to the internal solder points and back to the terminal plug.....
it seemed to fix it not sur ehow long it would last....i tested the voltages had the correct 2v on the hot wire...
Now panic Attack...i rang nissan $1200 for a replacment. Rang Repco. $800 for an exchange unit, I rang (AFI in granville )Australian Fuel injection , they wanted $350 for an exchange and $440 for new after market unit.
Well i turned to the internet and picked up a seimens unit from Qld for $120 hope this holds up.
