Hey all,

Just fitted a Bogard turbo timer and in the process found another module under the centre console area below stereo that had the same telephone jack type fitting as the turbo timer remote head, I tried to chase wiring but it got lost into the darknes that is the mysterious place behind the dash. The wiring did not go anywhere near the ignition wiring harness so I'm hoping its not an old turbo timer from the previous owner, no physical markings that I could see either.

Does anyone know what else would have the same plug as the one you normally have between your handset and phone, and what data would be collected from such a module on a 2.8tdi.

Cheers
Ian

Not that I could see without actually unbolting it from the mount, I might have another look tomorrow for any info that might be on the back of it after I unbolt it.

Could be the remains of a CB's guts - minus the remote head. Feel around for an antenna socket.

What sort of history does the vehicle have? Is it ex ses or police or mines? They would all probably have a hands free phone.

This is my bet... I pulled three old handsfree units out of a mates Hilux, as well as the main part of a UHF and a dual battery system. He didnt know any of it was there...
