The new guy

Hi, for years I have been considering a 4WD. We own a van and I have the opportunity now to change vehicles. I am looking at a 2002 3litre diesel ST GU II. In other forums, I have read over the years that these motors presented problems $$$ around the 130k mark. What is some of your opinions of this year / model engine please? Are they as bad as they write. A couple of people I have spoken with at parks have nothing but praise for theirs. (however they were petrol models). Any opioion on this year model is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Gday mate welcome aboard gotta friendly mob here full of great info and advice. There are modifications that can be done cheaply to protect the motor, plenty of people here on the forum have done em with great success
