4.5lt gu sump removal

i have a 2/2000 gu 4.5lt and have cracked my sump by front tail shaft coming off and flying up into it and was just wondering if you can get the sump off without removing the gearbox at all.

That said - welcome aboard, and yes you can take the sump off (gearbox sump I assume you're referring to) without removing the gearbox ...
