hi there, this is my 89 TD42 turbo patrol, i bought it standard about 8 yrs ago??? since then ive done a few mods in its time, it came with a factory rear locka, alloy b\bar 31s and thats about it, every thing else ive done with the help of some mates over the years.
As she sits today, mods are,
33" bighorns on 15x10 alloys
4-5" lift (its had a few over the days)
all the usual bits, drop boxes, d\duty f&r panards, cromoly drag link & tie rod
f&r diff locks
duel batts, snorkel, 3ltr gu air box, turbo glide turbo, 3" exhaust system
rock sliders, f&r tube bar, PTO winch and plasma rope, HID lights
probly a few more mods but yeah, enough to make her a tough hard core tourer.

good to me.
the bottom pic shows the grill before the mesh was put in. the mesh works well, on some angles
you can bearly see the i\cooler, wich is good..... makes it look not so ( LOOK AT ME ) when it
comes to the fun police....

Did the old manifold have a soot build up around the 4th and 5th cyclinder? Has it been pressure tested??

Yea although smaller its input is centre. So evenly displaced over the 6.
A mate I built one for a while ago needed some 28ltrs in his 4.2 ford motor. Was a huge intake, ill see if I can find a pic of it.

petrol and diesel ar different animals bigger isnt better for diesel, its only air, you need to fill that space, compress it and use it.

Your right, bit the concept of having enough supply to allow maximum flow to each cylinder is the same.

all im trying to acheive primaraly is to try and even out the heat from been directed at the centre two pistons, hopefully this will just limit the congestion of hot air compared to the standard intake manifold.....
