G'day people.

Names Jason, mates call me JONESY.

Signed up to learn as much as I can about the TD42.

Own a 4.8 wagon and have just bought a 06 GU TD42 4 Coil ute.

G'day Jonesy

Welcome to you and your ute. Great to have another ute owning Sandgroper onboard. Are you north or south of the river?

If you're interested, there's a dedicated Patrol Club in Perth..... www.westernpatrolclub.com

Take care out there.

Cheers for the welcome gents.

I'll be sure to post pics of all mods as they unfold. I have big plans for the ute as it is a replacement for my GU 4.8 wagon that is fairly well modified. I'm selling the wagon to free up funds for the ute build.
Some of the mods for the ute will include superior suspension, turbo/intercooler/exhaust upgrade, diesel gas system, long range tanks, deluxe winch bar/side rails/rock sliders, air lockers front and rear, custom tray with canvas canopy that can also take a slide on camper and comms and navigation.
One of the areas I'll be taking particular time with is the electrics. The company I'm ops manager for specialises in electronic systems in mining vehicles fom hiluxs to haulpaks and I'm looking forward to applying some of the things I have learnt to the ute.

DX I'm south of the river mate but get around a bit, I'll check out the link to WP...... cheers....

anyway thanks again guys for the welcome, I'll see you all around the forum.
