Is there any difference in power and reliability between the inline injection pump and a rotary type?
My td42 has a rotary, any clues how to squeeze a few more horses out the old girl?

If you want more power you need more airflow, once you have more airflow you can add more fuel for a bigger bang. The rotary pumps are reliable and easily modified.

To get a small increase in airflow you can fit an extractor exhaust system, but if you really want to liven things up you can't beat a turbo.

I ment extractor but the phone wanted educator. Top tip read before you press send! State of the art technology in the hands of a cave man.

Extractors or headers are tuned length exhaust manifolds that flow much better than most factory cast iron exhaust manifolds. Getting more of the exhaust out faster allows better fresh air charge into the cylinders.

Find yourself, maybe a thread on here looking for a tuner that specialises in tuning diesels, plenty adds in 4b mags but do your research.
I've heard of grey nomades traveling a long way specialy to go to a tuner that has a good rep.
Have seen the results of a well tuned engine. my outlaws troopy.
this troopy was a dream to drive, had a schwizer turbo and clearly tuned properly.
My brother inlaw drove it, H'es a diesel mech and a toyota nut and said it almost like driving a car it preformed that well.
And later the same engine destroyed by a tuner Who thought he knew what he was doing.
I realy mean destroyed, injection has to be set correctly.
Not trying to scare you but what your thinking about needs proper care.
