Thats not because of the weather, the bar is deliberately trying to disconnect itself from the tojo!

Yeah....... Like a rabbet in a trap..... It'll chew its own leg off to escape......

Thats just Spooky......................hahahahahahahahaha

Now there is a little yarn here. My mate just recently bought the same brand bar, brand bloody new and had rust spots in these exact places! So fair enough he bitched to them and they replaced only to have exactly the same issue. Needless to say he was pissed off big time!! All they would do wAs tell him to bring it back before the warranty ran out and they would replace it then!!! To A?B I say fu3k you I for one wil never buy from you and TJM will get my business and my mates and anyone
Else who I can convert! Hah
And Patch yup it is a puss bucket and I've been in bro in
Laws ear to convert (I'm gettin there HAH)

Is it just on the joins?

Have the bars both hit things moderately in the past?

Poor welds?

Mate that bar has had a hiding from Roos n cattle from qld to tassie. However where it's rusted away is exactly where me ol mates has rust spots from brand new! Bit coincidental maybe?? My mate is a picky bugger and the rust spots are very small, but we all know how fast the ol tin worm migrates. Seems like the QA needs improving

Poor preparation before coating, not cleaning the weld spatter off.
The spatter is where the rust spots start.

I cleaned my ARB Maverick bar up when I first got it and had it powdercoated
Not a spot of rust again after 14 yrs.

Two brand new bars never used and rust spots?????!

I bet the rust started where the spatter wasn't cleaned off.
The coating doesn't properly cover the blobs and where they are stuck onto the bar.
Some of them get dislodged with handling leaving a bare spot to start rusting merrily away.
That's why it's round the welds the rust is concentrated.
